What is GoatDangle!?

GoatDangle! is a ridiculously fun fusion of five classic party games, all rolled into one hilarious event. It's primarily a flip-cup and quarters game, with a few other surprises mixed in. And yes, for our 21+ crowd, we've included some rules just for you!

The core of the game is based on three simple actions:

  • Flip the Cup.
  • Roll the Dice.
  • Bounce the Quarter.

How Do I Win?

The game ends when one player successfully lands five "GD One-Flips". After that, all the points are tallied up, and the player with the highest score wins!

Starting the Game

To start your turn, place one cup, affectionately known as "Flippy McFlipperson," so it hangs about one-third of the way off the edge of the table. This gives you enough room to use your finger to flip the cup so it lands on one of the pegs.

Remember: Landing Flippy on a peg is called a GoatDangle One-Flip (GD One-Flip). Getting five of these ends the game, so make every flip count!

  • Pro Tip: Your flips will be more successful if you aim for a 180-degree turn instead of a full rotation.

Making a Successful Flip

If you land the flip, get ready to celebrate!

  1. Do the GD Battlecry! Embrace your inner goat! When a player lands a successful GD One-Flip, everyone has to do the logo and head-bang. It's the name of the game, and it’s the perfect way to get the party started.
  2. Roll the Dice After the Battlecry, the flipper chooses someone to roll the dice. The action on the dice determines what happens next! You might have to make goofy new rules, play a round of pong, or maybe even become the Thumb Master.
  • Pro Tip: To increase your chances of getting a "Dangle for Double" bonus, hold the quarter parallel to the table and bounce it at a 17.6-degree angle toward the dugout.

What's Next?

Regardless of what happens after the dice are rolled or the quarter is bounced, your turn is over. Pass the board to the next player and let them give it a shot!

GoatDangle! Is Totally Customizable

The rules are just a guide! Feel free to customize the game to fit your group. You can adjust the number of flips needed to win, change the scoring, or create your own house rules.

There are also several alternate versions of the game:

  • A 21+ version of the main game.
  • A 1-on-1 version.
  • Different team games.

To play the team versions, you’ll need at least two copies of the game, which is why our 2-pack is the most popular choice.
